Mr. Turner is the founder and Chairman of The Madava Group and has 30 years of energy finance, corporate finance, and public and private equity and debt investment experience. The Madava Group holds interests in energy assets, energy financial services, and real estate. Mr. Turner was Senior Partner and co-founder of ArcLight Capital Partners (“ArcLight”), a leading power and energy private equity firm. Mr. Turner was responsible for overall investment, asset management, strategic planning, and operations of ArcLight and its funds. During Mr. Turner’s career at ArcLight, the firm raised six funds and invested over $17 billion in the energy sector. Prior to co-founding ArcLight in 2001, Mr. Turner founded and built Berenson Minella & Company’s energy advisory practice. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Turner held senior positions at Smith Barney, Schroders, Wasserstein Perella and Kidder, and Peabody & Co., where he was responsible for advising on buyouts, corporate finance structures, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Turner earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
